What Trump does, doesn’t effect me personally, but my better half is American, and with two of her kids that still live in the US, she is worried about their future and the future of the country where she was born.
What Trump did just on Day One of his presidency:
-Pardons for about 1500 J6 defendants
-An order declaring that, henceforth, birthright citizenship is limited to the children of lawful permanent residents of the United states, not illegal immigrants, tourists, or those here on temporary work visas
-An order pulling America out of the Paris Climate accord
-An order pulling the US out of the World Health Organization
-A temporary freeze on all non-military, non-national security federal hiring
-A temporary freeze on creating new federal regulations
-An order to rename the Gulf of Mexico officially to the Gulf of America, and returning Denali’s name back to Mt. McKinley
-An order delaying the TikTok ban for 75 days
-An order declaring an emergency on the Southern Border and designating Mexican drug cartels as terrorist groups
-An order immediately repealing 78 existing Biden orders. One of those orders revives a ban on transgender troops in the military. Another ends Biden restrictions on oil drilling in certain areas.
-Ordering all federal employees to return to the workplace in-person
-An order to eliminate all federal government diversity programs, including eliminating all federal DEI jobs. The order also mandates a review of all federal grants that went to DEI or “environmental justice” programs, and orders a review of federal contractors who have provided DEI training manuals to federal workers.
