The US system is different than ours, and even then, it is being ridden over roughshod by Musk.
Musk has no official role in Government. He is not a Sec of State, has not been vetted by the Senate etc, yet he is sending his own people into Gov offices demanding access to Gov resources.
It is pretty evidently illegal and unconstitutional but because he is (currently) Trump’s buddy it is hard for the civil servants to oppose him. The constitution is meant o stop an individual Pres from becoming a dictator, but Trump is trying to circumvent many rules, checks and balances. By using a scatter-gun approach even if only some get through then he will have won a lot for himself.
Doing all of this is easy compared to getting back civil servants, faithful to the US itself, and not poodles of Trump later on. Too easy to wreck stuff, and so much harder to rebuild it afterwards.
The US Pres is not a 4yr term as a dictator, but Trump seems to want to copy Putain and make it so/

Trump is not operating in a vacuum. What the US does affects the whole world.
His decisions affect NATO and our security. How much we need to invest in the military affects how much tax you pay, and how much taxes the Gov have for other things , like the NHS.
He has already set waves moving on global stock exchanges. Pensions, investments, are all affected.
He is affecting you. Maybe you don’t see it (or choose to ignore it) but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening

All the contempt and bile from the haters will not make a crap of a difference to what goes on, and on the other side those who admire (at least some of) what he has done up to press, can only hope it is emulated over here once the present shower of sh is history.
So I reckon on this thread I’ll just observe with amusement all the pearl clutching, frustration and pseudo outrage with great amusement…hey it’s at least entertaining.
I’ll leave that up to others to interpret which ever way they so wish while we still have some element of free speech left. Either way I’m not wrong.
