Does anyone know where to get a new grain hatch spanner from as think I left mine in Bournemouth!?
Oops! Time to bring out the emergency mole grips.
Haven’t got any as am in a hired lorry this week! Luckily I have managed to turn it by hand so far today, think I’m going to have to find a halfords though!
where in Bournemouth I might be able to recover it and get it back to you.
I had same problem yesterday, first day back from holiday and had to use someone elses trailer. Went to tip a load of wheat and no key on trailer. I used my wheel nut key. If you have one in unit give it a go.
A 32mm spanner or an adjustable will do the job. Then when you get back to yard make yourself one from a 32mm socket and a bit of T bar. Lovely job.
As davefor says, most of the grain hatches use wheelbrace size hexagons.
If you happen to have a motor with weird-sized nuts, tough!

It was in the ryvita place in Poole but I left it there fri so is probably well gone so I wouldn’t worry about about.cheers for the offer though.
Looks like I’ll be making do till the weekend when I get my welder out as have a couple of old lorry wheel braces kicking around at home for our horsebox. (Didn’t realise they were possibly the same size).
Cheers everyone!
