Oh god not Travis Perkins, I occasionally do the one at Cardiff dock and goods in are idiots. Missed my book in slot and despite the unloading area being empty they turned me away. Had to trans ship with a s Wales haulier in the area for the re book.
I’ve been turned away from there with just a box weighing under a kilo because we either didn’t book a slot, or turned up late. Luckily we’ve got a yard just round the corner who take it for us and deliver it.
In fairness most of the actual branches are OK, and the distribution centre at Tilbury is much more user friendly.
Why didn’t you just walk in with it?
I’ve done this before when places hit you with every excuse for not getting tipped, stuff straight out the curtain and dumped in the door, sign here, toodles.

Because they still won’t take it if you’re late, or haven’t got a booking reference.
F[zb] them.
I would not be running around wasting anyone’s time for a single box of that weight. Its alright if you have a yard round the corner, still a complete waste of time. Companies with petty rules like that don’t deserve any sort of respect, here’s your box, sign it or don’t. Take a picture of it on their desk, leave a copy of the lines and go.
