Well it’s gone ■■■■ up , couldn’t get loaded , thought I might get down there , ended up 3 hrs short , told me start at 4 but gave me a 18.00 collection out of Glaxo coleford , out of hours 17.00, it’s like writing your own obituary, need a bloody miracle to pull this round , why do weeks start so well then deteriorate .
Told him I’m not going to get Everything done , he says you’ll be fine , just can’t understand why I’m heading south at the end of the week when I should be heading north , sleepless night tonight

No I’m just ■■■■■■ off , should of tipped travis depot at Warminster before 4 but couldn’t get there till 5 so told me to come back at 8 in the morn , now sat at Warminster Servs ( assume it’s the name , on r/o as you come into Warminster , then got coleford , middlewich , Bradford then Lincoln and back to Grantham , whether it’s possible who knows , but I bet if I get back it will be 8 at night ( start 7-13 hrs left ), who wants to get back at 8 on a Friday night , gone passed the stage of ■■■■■■ off , just given up , beat me
I find its best to just turn up. When at the gate basically say I’m booked in for tomorrow and I’d perfectly understand if you can’t tip me but I’d appreciate it if you could. Most places are then pretty reasonable. It’s when you turn up and then they discover (without you telling them) that it’s for the next day that they tend to turn you away. Obviously before I do turn up I ensure it’s a suitable location to easily get parked up in a decent spot if they say no.

Oh god not Travis Perkins, I occasionally do the one at Cardiff dock and goods in are idiots. Missed my book in slot and despite the unloading area being empty they turned me away. Had to trans ship with a s Wales haulier in the area for the re book.

I’ve been turned away from there with just a box weighing under a kilo because we either didn’t book a slot, or turned up late. Luckily we’ve got a yard just round the corner who take it for us and deliver it.
In fairness most of the actual branches are OK, and the distribution centre at Tilbury is much more user friendly.

It’s not just me then, when I was on General Haulage I went there twice, 1st time was after midday & they refused it (even though I didn’t have any times on my delivery notes) 2nd time they claimed that the reference number had already been used, so they refused again, totally agree with you-they are Idiots, even though I work for DHL now, on the Travis Perkins Contract, I sometimes wonder how Travis Perkins actually make any money, considering that they employ all the Village Idiots !
suppose it never occurred to dozy to get their phone number and give them a call ref the early delivery.

Why didn’t you just walk in with it?
I’ve done this before when places hit you with every excuse for not getting tipped, stuff straight out the curtain and dumped in the door, sign here, toodles.
