The seatbelt buckle on drivers seat has snapped off and is now dangling in mid air. It has a wire into it to warn you when the seatbelt is not plugged in. Does anyone know if this leads to a plug so it can just be disconnected or would it be a dealer job.
To get to said wire I will need to take the base of the seat out and just wondered if anyone knows how to get the base off without demoloishing the seat!! DAF do the buckle and sensor on its own but at £81 I’m gonna ring breakers yard first!!
As Denis say centre of seat between your legs there is a lever ,pull it up slide cushion forward, when it stops hit the cushion upward at each corner ,it will come of 2 circular clips ,pull forward and up…You will now see the workings of the seat.I think the wire goes around to the rear of the seat ,I may be wrong …You may have to undo some trim screws on he front and on the side to allow trim to move to help undo the anchor bolt…You may also have to do minor straightening of the cushion baseto then refit it ,it can be a pain getting the cushion to fit back on the the clips .Slide in the back press front of seat on to the front clips and push back…It may take a few goe to get all four in
I think the missus and the kids wouldn’t be arguing over £81 if it means that you come home safely. Can’t you rob the passenger side and then remove its seat completely?

I know £81 isnt expensive in the grand scheme of things but I hate paying so much for a tiny little buckle. I csm get one of a breaker but it doesn’t have the wire to knock the seat belt sensor off.
