If all MPs’ expenses were stopped, including their staffing costs etc etc, then it would save about £160m. Which would be a lot of money in my account, but not much on the UK Gov account.
Stopping just any excessive stuff would be less than that of course. MPs do need staff to man their offices and do a decent job for constituents.

The @robroy vid had the letter, which had zero mention of Labour party nor of Gov involvement, and no mention of any UK funds at all.
