nice sheeted load .
grat looking wagon , some how I dont think she would of looked as goods as this when she was working .
This is Ivor Parrys roadtrain on his very last trip , after doing 3 years of night trunking from Cowley to Fleetwood docks via Coventry , as a thankyou he was able to take his beloved truck across to Ireland to meet the day driver who then showed him all the drops , they had never met but had spoke over the cab phone . The day he emptied his cab of all his gear was very tear jerking . He never turned back and has never been back to the Old depot . (sadley now nearley all gone ) .

Ex F -R Seddon mk 5 with BRS -note the carrimore trailer ,king pin well back to allow longer trailer and has F-R identity still
Muswell hill F-R depot soon after BRS took charge
This Rockman may have been a Fisher Renwick company.my interest is that when i joined BRS Oxford we had an identical one (although red)

Harry you young old devil, have you been on the malts again, I remember swinging the old handle on a Mechanical Horse when I worked for Baxters on the Quayside. JVK 44. What a beast of an old motor, the regular driver was the Late Billy Moat, He was a genious with the owld 3 wheelers he could reverese it up a drain pipe, He allways supped Brown Ale , He never touched the spirits, so when I was in his Co, I had to make up for him on the Whiskey Front, Regards Larry.

Sorry I don’t know the names you mention. I am from the south. Hampstead, Kentish Town, Grays. Later with Morton’s (BRS)
I have a memory that Ackworth Transport got ■■■■■■■ with Mileham and Onward. Their motors used to be in the old Mileham yard at Purfleet.
We are all getting long in the tooth and thin on the ground.
Bob
Yes mate they where onward /ackworth same group Milehams yard at purfleet was onwards london yard they rented part of the ind est office and garage and space for the lorries i think its all been redevolped now it was on tank hill road close to the circus tavern, it was close to the thames board mill ideal for onward and close to the m/way.
