Brexit stuff in one place [MERGED]

robroy:
I reckon Jeff has been gathering up allies to strengthen his ‘team’ .
Getting Frangers on board on the Brexit, anti Tory stuff and generally keeping the lefty end up (ooer Mrs) is a scoop,on par
with Newcastle Utd signing Kyllian Mbappe’ .

Welcome back Frangers (I think  )…hope the re.hab therapy went ok.

I get the impression you’re not a fan…

Franglais:
Maoster has had a payrise. Hooray!
Obviously that must be a result of Brexit, because it happened recently.

Of course my substantial payrise was as a direct result of Brexit. Only a simpleton could fail to see that.

I have no idea and no interest in whether a Spanish/French/ Greek or even a Martian truck driver received equal payrises. Why would I? I’m no longer in the EU two it doesn’t bother nor affect me.

the maoster:

Bloody double quotes :smiling_imp:

Go on then…I`m a simpleton, so please explain to me why you are so sure that your rise was due to Brexit.
Thank you.

   You actually are a simpleton! I was only joshing, but you removed all shadow of doubt.

Well, yes, I guess I am.
I try to say what I mean, and mean what I say.

Simple, innit !

Oh God he’s back and in full flow.

Strap yourseves in for ANOTHER 93 pages of Brexit. :open_mouth:
Jeez I hope Covid doesn’t break out again.

I was harbouring my own theory that the server slowdown was due to Franglais forgetting his password and feverishly trying different ones in rapid sucession until he was back with us. Seems fine so far this morning.

Welcome back Franglais

A whole 5 months with out his drivel

Welcome back Franglais

A whole 5 months with out his drivel

And some one got new socks on Friday

the maoster:
Really? Are you serious?

Yes. What other reason but immigration? Can you name any?

There’s not much need for me to have a “team” on this board rob - the “right-wing” of the board just spent 5 pages arguing illegal migrants can claim benefits. If that’s the best they can manage it’s already like Barcelona vs Leigh RMI.

Nah all that has already been explained to you.
Free accommodation, free meals, free medical care from NHS, free travel, free brand new bikes, free vouchers for Asda, in fact free virtually every ■■■■ thing …all that equates to ‘‘benefits’’ to everybody… apart from those of you who want to keep up the ‘refugee’ charade.
A bit like saying ‘‘I dont get paid a weekly wage, I get paid a salary’’ :bulb:
So it’s a bit like Fact v Fiction… or a case of Kieran Trippier leading out Newcastle Utd,.against Roy of The Rovers leading out Melchester Rovers.

Absolutely. My own silver lining is a 25% pay increase. Anyone else had one?

Ah well, apparently you “were joshing” about the same thing earlier on this year. But omitted to say you were “joshing” to Robroy and tmcassett who took your statement at face value.

:open_mouth: Moi?
Hang on a bit, seeing as my name has come up, I’ll just take the time to carefully trawl through nearly 100 pages of this fascinating thread concentrating on intricate detail, to check up, …only to try and prove a point.
If I didn’t have a life.

Tell me how long it takes you to do that? (just so I have some kind of reference point.)

Aye ok I did know, it was ME making a point this time.

Thing is Frangers you lurrrve all this stuff  , the scenario whereby it comes across as Brexit is (on the face of it) ‘not entirely going to plan’ has you sat nursing a semi.

It has been pointed out to you countless times,.especially by me, that nothing works unless it is done in a positive and enthusiastic way.

Brexit is being implemented by those not actually wanting it in the first place, nor wanting it to work, and they do everything they can in a half arsed way to achieve this.
A scheme designed to break us away from the corrupt clutches of an organisation that stinks,.being implemented by a group who is totally pro that organisation ,but who have to be seen to go through the motions in order to pacify and appease the will of the majority of the electorate, with a view to achieving a way of demoralising said electorate to actually change their minds…very clever, cunning, and classic politics, you have to give em that.

It will never work nor be given a chance to work until somebody who is wholly pro Brexit is at the reins.

Still as long as it gives people like you something to bang on about to ‘make your points’ ,.rather than just you just sit back and actually SEE what is going on, that’s all that matters eh?.
But that wont happen, you are getting hours of pleasure out of this situation as it currently stands, but in a sad and lonely type way.

RR: “Aye ok I did know, it was ME making a point this time.”
–Simpleton little me has failed to see what point you`re trying to make.

RR: " in a sad and lonely type way." ?
–Well, it isn`t me imagining other TNUK members “sat nursing a semi.”
But, who am I to judge what goes through your mind.

RR: "it comes across as Brexit is (on the face of it) ‘not entirely going to plan’ "
–Is that a quote from someone else? Capt Edward Smith? (1850-1912)

RR: “It has been pointed out to you countless times,.especially by me, that nothing works unless it is done in a positive and enthusiastic way.Brexit is being implemented by those not actually wanting it in the first place, nor wanting it to work, and they do everything they can in a half arsed way to achieve this.

–A conspiracy theory rant worthy of WS or CF.
Didnt you notice that in 2019 there was a GE when all the majority party candidates were required to agree to Brexit? The agreement was signed by a Brexit supporting cabinet, (including a full member never elected to any public office) and hailed as a great success. You sound like the crappy footie manager who blames the teams failure on not believing in his plan, and not trying hard enough. If only they had *believed* then surely they would have been 10 nil up before half time! Promising the impossible will never be deliverable. It doesnt matter how much you really really really want to fly like Tinkerbell, it ain`t gonna happen.

RR: “the corrupt clutches of an organisation that stinks” more purple prose cutnpasted from CF?
–As it happens the UK has dropped 5 points in the corruption index since 2021. Shocking.
We have become noticeably more corrupt since leaving the EU. Not saying its*due* to leaving the EU, but it isnt a good sign, is it?

RR: “you are getting hours of pleasure out of this situation as it currently stands,”
–Even for you that is a particularly perverse comment. I do not like the current situation re Brexit. It gives me no pleasure at all to see my country being sold down the river so that a few venture capitalists make money from the turmoil, as ordinary companies find it ever harder to invest in long term projects, as ordinary people suffer so a few foreign based companies turn more tax-free profit.

As you advised me, let me reciprocate…
It takes less time to embed my post in a quote, than to copy it all out word for word. :bulb:
But hey !..who am I to stop you from enjoying yourself.

As for the rest of your post…
Classic Frangers long winded boring rant about Brexit, yawwwwwn, (no links surprisingly this time ) amply illustrating his frustration and bitterness towards it, which he gladly hangs on to like a terrier.

And you have the audacity to compare ME with Winseer. :open_mouth:

Here we are again…zero Brexit content.

Just a weak guff about how boring the subject is. So, you still havent realised that it sint compulsory for you to comment on what you find irrelevant?
In my world I choose what I read or post. Have you been kidnapped? Is “the system” so set against you that you are obliged to read and reply to what you find boring? Do you need to escape?
Just try really, really really believing and all will be well! Honest.

Unable to refute your “magical thinking” stance, which you hold in common with others around this parish, you seem to suggest that I should be spending any free time I have as you dictate, not as I choose to.
Maybe after learning how the search function operates maybe you will advance into the 1970s and learn how word processing can be done.

Bite bite bite ,.snap snap snap.

Yep…It is bloody boring you are right, but I find your obsession and frustration with it both fascinating and amusing, which urges me to contribute …maybe that’s why I didn’t contribute (cba to check but no doubt you will be) to the thread whilst you were away coping with the effects of it all.

I’ve missed these Frangers forum based verbal tennis matches you know, Sploomy was no substitute for you, and not half as entertaining on a slack day on my own while the wife is at work.
