If I drive for 2 hours my digicard will have recorded those 2 hours. Several hours later I get into a different vehicle to be taken elsewhere. If I have had several hours of no work between journeys and obviously some of this constitutes part of my driving break, how is this logged? When driving one vehicle the digitacho will record any breaks when taken but how do we record driving breaks when between two different vehicles?
Do we manually write on one of the two printouts that a break of, lets say, 15 minutes has been taken or is there a period of time of ‘no work’ that means no recording is required and you start your 4 1/2 hours again (let’s say no work for 4 hours)?
I have read many scenarios and examples on line but have yet to see one that covers this specific.

When you reinsert your card into the new vehicle you make manual entries of the work or rest in between.
You need to record every minute of your working day, when you insert your card back in it will come up with the time you ejected it and ask you end of shift, you say no and do manual entry for whatever you did, if you miss a single minute it will be an infringement .
Thanks. That makes sense. Appreciated
