A mate of mine is thinking of applying for a class 2 job at Brakes in Tamworth, does anyone know what they are like to work for etc…?
I was a drivers mate there before it was brakes,used to be peters foods and cuisene before that, I personally wouldnt work for them now ive got my class 2,its very much multi-drop,as many as 20-30 aday, wagons are abit crappy,used to be little 10 tonne volvos, its all handball and you have alot of town centre work often not being able to park by your delivery, oh if I remember rightly you do alot of the prisons to which is always fun, we used to start at 4 in the morning and were normaly finished by 2-3pm, not to sure what the money will be now,but when i was there i think the drivers were on about £6.50 an hour but thats going back 5 years.

i live near brakes and iv also got a frend thats also worked for peaters before it became brakes and he finished there because it was going to be about 50 drops a day and the money is suposed to be not so good either
I have heard that brakes were great when it was Brake Bros, but went down hill when ‘the Brakes’ sold the firm off.
Mind you the receptionisnt in their head office down here in Ashford is quite pretty.
