Brain Teazer

I have a Tri-axel trailer, which i run fully loaded so all wheels are on the ground weekly from A to B to A, which is a distance of 1585 miles one way , on the return journey we come back empty so axels 1 & 3 lift and only axel 2 is on the ground. We do this trip 48 times a year, the driver gets 2 weeks of for Christmas  . Every 3rd week we rotate the tires on the axels so they all get an equal turn at being on axel 2 . My question is how many miles does each tire do after 4 years of this ā– ā– ?
Hopefully this will give some of those over enthusiastic ā€œBrainsā€ something to think about instead of bloody tarpsā€¦

did you buy these tires at Fleetpro ?

And I thought the question would be ā€¦ 'How do you spell ā€˜Teaser ?ā€™ ā€¦

i will ask kerri, then we will all know the correct answer! ( are we allowed to cheat?)

405760 miles each. God, I need a lifeā€¦

You are not supposed to wait Steve, you just post an answer that you wantedto hear whether it is correct or not

They all do the same distance (just not always touching the ground).

We can be pedantic about Tire. Lots of stuff on tā€™interbox.

When we used wooden wheels and spokes, they devised a way of making then last longer with a iron cap, they encased the entire caboodle with a beaten steel ring known as a TIE. This became known as a TIER

This got corrupted to TIRE and in the UK it was only when one of the ā€œtwoā€ Scotsmen put wind in it that it became known as Tyre. According to Encyclopaedia Britannica. Tire is the more correct term.

However I am a Englishman who prefers and will always use Tyres on any vehicle I drive or ride

I think the more correct BANDEN (D) or BAND (NL) describes the product better than the French PNEUMATIQUES or PNEUS. The Polish word is OPON which I can understand, and many Balkan countries rely on GUMI or GUMO to support their lorries :stuck_out_tongue:

Donā€™t you wish you hadnā€™t started this

\according to Wiki! :stuck_out_tongue:

A tire (in American English and Canadian English) or tyre (in British English, New Zealand English, Australian English and others

You say either I say either lets call the whole thing off! Not as effective written down
