Sorry this scribble well out of date, but what happened to Billy West? I did him some 6x4 prints of his old firm down Spencer Road. Unsure if he moved from his old house in Great Horton and have never seen him at the Trans Pennine Rally in the Ford truck?
Should I ever be able to put some images on this website it will include the likes of M&R, Pat McCann and several other local hauliers.
scud:
Ramone can you remember the AEC wrecker that was parked on wakefield rd just above wilsons yard it was a four wheeler painted green ,i dont think it was used much never seemed to move wonder where it went?
Happen to have a photo of it parked at the bottom of Wakefield Rd. Copeland and Clegg, Windsor Street Garage.
PS what ever happened to the AEC MkV 8 wheeler from Black Horse Garage■■?
You may not know my nickname, but the long hair and beard take some forgetting

Where was the Black Horse Garage?
Black Horse Garage was a heavy recovery operation, based in Stainland, a pokey little place not far from Halifax, but handy to recover trucks around the area. They had an oddball collection of vehicles, often ex-military.
The well worn AEC MkV 8x4 was an ex recovery truck from Black Horse Garage and when I photographed it, only the chassis/cab remained. Richard and Clifford intended to restore it, I would not have been surprised to have seen it with a flat body and canopy over the cab, not unlike a lot of the old Bradford ‘wool wagons’.

Good Afternoon All,
Has anybody got any photo’s of Ralph Smith ‘RS Haulage’ Bradford?
I remember seeing Ralph & Andrew Smith collecting/delivering wool to R.E.Dickie wool merchants at Halifax when I was on my school holiday’s.
Ralph had an ERF 4x2 unit and their Andrew had a Scania 113 360 6x2 tag axle, both trucks had tri-axle stepframe curtainsiders, Ralph & Andrew kept a very smart & clean fleet.
I haven’t seen them for about 15years now, does anybody know if they are still trading?
Thank you.
