The boss want me to collect some parts from near Ancona, in August, and I wondered what would the possibility of getting a load heading that way, to pay some of the cost?
I’ll be using our box trailer, we use for the general kit, flight cases and stuff, not the car transporter. It has a tuck away tail lift, and a load space of 13.4m x 2.4m high and 2.4m wide. However our trucks are plated to 31tonnes so it only give me about a 15tonne payload.
We do have a full international O’licence and Insurance.
Most of the industry is based around Northern Italy for export and import.
You could try DSV at Avonmouth as they operate to and from Italy.
Or Davies Turner at Avonmouth and Dartford.
Or Secure Cargo Assured Ltd at Yate near Bristol.
They have years of experience in Italy and use a depot in Milan called Gamco that could assist you.
You may run empty from Milan to Ancona.

Not in August you wont. loads are very scarce as the Italians shut down in August. You will be a very Lucky man to get a export load to Italy from the 4-5th Of August till the 2nd week of September.

Yep I remember that from my days doing tilts, always very quiet in August as it seemed nobody in most of Europe was sending or ordering stuff. I’ll give a few places a go, but I’m sure anything going will be given to the regulars first, and that’s as it should be.
