Bottled water?

I’ve loaded at Highland Spring’s place in Speyside, that really is in the middle of nowhere. I filled my water bottles up from the tap in their canteen, it’s the exact same water. Really is different compared to my local mains water which is very chalky and will fur up a kettle in no time.

There’s not actually anything stopping you from bottling tap water and selling it.

there is round here. it tastes like drinking from a swimming pool. no one would buy it!

I pick up from Highland spring , at Blackford usual once a week good place (free bottles off water to any drivers it’s the stock that gets damaged or pallet falls etc)
The bottle there own and tesco !
BUT the also do a up market bottle (can’t remember it’s name now) that the guy loading me says sells for £40 a case ! Only a few pallets are sold but it goes to high end London RESTURANTs / harrods etc !

I used to load there, a good chippy in the next village, then park in the yard, good for a walk in the summer.

Many years ago when I was on diesel submarines, we used to tell the new blokes that we carried dehydrated water and made it up when we needed it.

Irrelevant to the subject, my Bro-in-law was on Diesels, HMS Oracle.

They’re now bottling water at Fradley Park no less, some French firm, I couldn’t believe it. Licence to print money really.

If it actually is well water then it is superior to mains water and is worth paying a premium for.

London tap water is basically just Londoners’ recycled urine, filtered, cleaned up a bit and heavily bleached to kill what remains. It does not even begin to compare with water which has spent tens of thousands of years filtering up through aqueous rocks.

“All the bottled water sold in this establishment has been passed by the management…”
