He made some good films in his career, I only heard yesterday that he was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2012.

Bob was a driver & so was his dad so I will re appraise my obit. Top bloke, in one year from where he had never acted in his life before he got that starring role in ‘Pennies from Heaven.’ He was in a bar waiting for an actor mate of his when a BBC man shoved a script in his hand to audition in the back room. He got the part as an illiterate removal man then in the same year played the salesman in the Pennies. Wow!-&RIP.
