Guys a big hello from me- Jerry Hunter, who drove with Western Transport in the late 80’s on the Norfolk Line contract. Bob Ansty and Jim De Havilland were both owner drivers on the contract at that time, I drove for Bob for several months night trunking and then took on Jim’s truck when he bought a different tractor unit to drive under Western Ice.
I give you sad news of Bob Ansty’s death on Friday 30th September. His granddaughter is very keen to contact those that knew him. No further arrangements have been made at present I will post details as soon as I have them. Anyone with further enquiries please pm me.
Best wishes,
Jerry
