nice old van plan " proper removal wagon "

Am I right in thinking those Fox VanPlans were a sort of mustard yellow with FOX in black and THE MOVER in white, or is my memory completely [zb]ed? And were (are?) they from S Wales? (I can remember seeing their wagons most frequently on the M4 eastbound).

Fox the Mover were (are?) based in Cwmbran, South Wales. Part of a bigger operation now I think. Now in green. I used to supply them with chassis components. I believe the fitter was called Bill Reynolds, but it was over thirty years ago, so may be wrong. All Bedford then, with Vanplan and Marsden bodies, but switched to Scania later.

JAKEY:
Is this the same firm ?

Dont think so.
Ben.

heres one i used to drive after the family frim went under

and another from the same fleet

Very tidy trucks there Legion .

yeah they were i had a bit of a say in how the lf was built was a cracking tool ramps accessable from eather side from lockers on the back and ratcliff tail lift formed the rear doors and was a canopy loader which i was won over by to be honest as i was very anti them when i started there. the lower parts of the canopys were alloy planking like a tail lift strong and light ideal.

JAKEY:
This is still used as a local truck .
