That’s a bit of a find!! It even has the drop down tailgate! Great for tailgate loads although the health and safety Nazis nowadays would have a complete fit if they ever saw one!!

Must have been getting n for 30 years old when the photo was taken. Not bad condition considering age. Those glass fibre bodies would last for ever

Seconded, it even looks salvageable, though I suspect the major failure would be all the metal bits.
How many depots did Bishops Move have? I remember their London one (somewhere near Victoria was it?) and I once went to their Edinburgh depot, but I’m sure they had more than that…
Yes that wagon looks like a great resto , I and any one who has ran Marsden bodies would confirm that under the fibre glass they do rust well , so under the skirts would be steel that would need replacing well .
Bishops are a family firm and have quite a few depots scattered round the country , they have one in Longhanbrough not far from me .
Pictured is my truck unloading from there offices , this was after they told some porky pies to my client , I even collected free of charge but he stayed in store well over a year .
Hello Jakey. nice to see a thread on the removals scene. I have worked for a few in oxford over the years doing uk and European. I started with my old man Frank Lawrence of Headley way. Then on to cowley carriers, then Den Blackwell, Then went to Browns Removals in Bainton road. They Were bought out by Robinsons In Abingdon. Do you remember Newman’s in Headington [Lime walk] and ledgers Abingdon road. I have a few stories I could tell and some great people, plus it was bloody hard work. I have been on Air Products for 25 years And know Chris we must have met at some stage I knew henry. and when I worked for Robinsons Roy came to work for us and organise European. But left and went in with john Wiggins. I will have to find some photos out and post on here

Bishops had a lot of depots, a list of the current ones is in the link below. We used to do some repairs for them when I worked in Wokingham, before the larger workshop was built I understand that the wheels had to be removed and the trucks driven in on the brake drums over railway sleepers etc. Took longer to get them in the workshop than doing the actual job!
