LARGE LUTONED D SERIES ,

Hi Jakey

I think the luton was just average for D series, perhaps it looks larger than it did in real life

Here is another of Elliotts, which has been run, and still is by Fred’s sons. I knew Fred quite well as we gave him quite a lot of work as a sub contractor during the sixties. He was a real nice bloke.

Here is an old photograph of how Marsden dealt with putting an integral pantechnicon on a Thames Trader.I remember looking at them building a van similar to this at Warrngton and dad got a quote for one as an alternative to the Bedford SB chassis that we were using for our vehices at that time, but decided to continue using Bedford.

This vehicle was supplied new to Kidds

Hi Jakey,

i don’t know how many traders Jeakins ran like this, but if this was the only one I remember seeing it quite a lot, in the sixties.

Here is one a little bit more modern they run.

Hi Jeffreyk,

Here’s a photo of one of Clockwork’s

Carl

The Clockwork wagon looks a bit untidy Carl .

Subbed my self out Last Sat to Robinsons , 1300 cuft ft into storage (six 250 cuft containers) with full packing ,as expected no parking was sorted :open_mouth: , neighbours were not happy to move at 830am in the morning .

Driver of the six pallett truck swung out in to the road and broke this branch of neighbours tree , not a good start , he didnt give a dame about it stuck in the door seal .
