been working for the same firm for just over a year now and to be blunt my 4yr old niece is more mature than my gaffer. anyways i have been out tramping and over a blow out which was obviously my fault i have been took off tramping and put on to night shift. i was basically working my maximums every week whilst tramping and didnt mind but since ive been took off im having to travel home every day which is 30mins each way. my main gripe is im still working my maximums and only having 9hr breaks 3 times a week. i was led to believe when i was getting my license you could only do reduced rest if your out tramping and not if you were home everyday? could any1 shed a bit light as i cant find anythin thru google and to be honest its slowly [zb]ing me up. like i say i dont mind doing the long hours when you dont have to take traveling to a from work into consideration but when im on a 9hr rest it takes the ■■■■ a bit

To dissapiont you a little you were missled when you were training you can do 9’s when either at home or tramping.

no probs, just thought the WTD mite of come into play when traveling to and from a place of work, must be only us drivers tat get screwed with this, my mothers a shop manager with early openin times and late shutting times and she has to make sure her employees get a minimum of 11hrs rest between shifts

Speak nicely to your planner or boss and explain this and how tiring it is with all the extra commuting you are now doing.

Tell your boss how you feel although I’m pretty sure he will say it’s not my problem,you knew that when you come here.

well tried having a word and have since been ignored off my boss lol. just shows how childish the man is. safe to say im seeking new work and by the looks of it so is 99% of the rest of the drivers. will be funny when they do all leave and he’s left with a bunch of knackers
