Also on this sad subject, don’t think it has been reported on here, Les Pottinger of L.P. Transport, passed away in January aged 87. His son David said in a report, “Les worked until he was 80 and spent much of his life enjoying his Speedway”. For many years Les sponsored the L.P. Trophy meeting at Cradley Heath. Later he became involved in saving the club after their loss of Dudley Wood Stadium and fought to try to find them a new home. My memories of him are of a wonderful man, the salt of the earth. R.I.P.

Hi all, I am new to the forum and this is my first post. A question, does anyone remember Richardsons of Rugeley, they ran Volvo and ERFs on general haulage.

Thanks in advance

Cheers Wal,

Hi,
Yes I remember them, they did a lot of work for BRC in Stafford, sadly both Richardsons and BRC premises are new housing plots.

Hello,

Can you place thoose pictures also on the treath: I am looking for photo’s from the company Frans Maas.

Berst Regards, Bert Wolters

Hi bloxotrix

It is a good pic of MSI’s 142, it also brought back some memories for me as i worked for Docker for 3 years.

E630 SON used to be Bobby Shucks motor until Bob had his new 143. I think Tony Whittaker had it after Bob but could be wrong on that ( been a few years ago now). She was a beast, she pulled like a train that 1.

My 142 was D463 OON until i had my 143. I have some photo’s some where of being weekended, normally the Bakehouse or Jayat in France and the picadilly at Santhia or Carrisio in Italy.

How long did you work for Dennis ?

Hi Pancho

I worked for them for about 3 years as well, When i started i drove a 142 D668 NOX. Tony did drive E630 SON but i used it a couple of times when hols / service etc. I later drove an Iveco after the scannies had gone, i got lots of photos and as soon as i get them scanned i’ll put them on this thread.

How you keeping, good i hope.

Ken went back working for Docker up until last month when Docker finally retired and sold up.
