how much does a bin lorry driver get paid?
they can’t keep good drivers round our way.
i have a mate on the bins, he earns very good money, but he’s been there since it was council run.
he dosn’t know what the new boys get paid. they don’t hang about long enough to be asked. 
My mate does them but he does fair bit of distance as contract he on is store bins, he payed weekly set wage plus over time and his over time and bank holiday rate make my eyes water. good wage but boring doing same stuff
I’d did it and was a good earner with good guys its a laugh, I only left to move to another department
proberly looking at about 350 per week plus over time and bank holidays/catch up days. most are job and finish and still get paid contracted hours. it all depands on where you are and who the contrctor is? i get paid extra if the truck breaks down/puncture, if one of the crew dont turn up and they cant replace him you get paid alitte extra ( about 20 quid) . it is a good earner without the hasstle of nights out, stuck in traffic etc.
i bloke i know started on the bins 5 / 6 years ago, he said he was on around £10 ph mark, but it was possible to get up to around £12 ph once he’d completed nvq’s
£8/hr round here, 6am till 4pm, tuesday till friday. normally job and knock, but your lucky to get away early. your not going to get rich on it, but it’s a job for someone…

oop north, on council bins i was takin £1100 a month ish, around £220-£240 week. 0700-1600 \ 1200 0n fridays.
£11 PH around here, but it is only 37h per week.
