Bike Rta M6 closed yesterday Stoke

I was stuck in an rta M6 Stoke yesterday for nearly 3 hours.
There were previously a few biker gangs on Harleys and the like, weaving between cars and making progress between the slow heavy traffic, …not dangerously either btw, these lads did not look young boys by any means, and looked like they knew what they were doing.
Further up I heard one of them was knocked off and ended up in central reservation.

The screens were up when I reached the spot, (which did not look good), there were about 20 to 30 bikes parked beside it, I just wondered if the lad in question was ok.

Anybody hear anything about it?

Screens up normally means that someone has died.

Morning Roy your not having much luck lately on the M6

I’ve got loads of luck in life Paul, …but it’s all bad.

That’s what I thought unfortunately.

 Ok mate, …I didn’t mean it as a derogatory term, they were various gangs of lads on bikes, …what else would you call them?
They even had the name of their ‘‘gang’’ on back of their jackets.
Bikers in an organised gang, hence Biker gang :bulb: .

And another example of the PC lot striking again - we called them gangs when a kid so it stuck, in my days it wasn’t derogatory at all till some ■■■ decided we can’t call anything anything any more!

Hope the biker is ok if not RIP for another soul not going home

i think a gang is just a bunch of individuals…a Club is made up of signed-up members. the American biker clubs insisted on this many years ago, mainly to root out gangs wearing the Club’s official patches (colours).

I saw a load of bikers wearing their colours up near that cafe on the A82 last Sunday where some ■■■■■■■ shot the tame stag a while back … he/she should have been the one shot :frowning: :frowning:

Is that part still riddled with horriy laid out roadworks which seem to weave left and right? Occasionally driven from J15 north and it seemed to be too narrow and not thought out at all.

RIP rider…

I wouldn’t worry about it, I doubt some hairy arsed tough guy bikers are all that concerned with what truck drivers call them on the intertubewebnet

I went past in the other direction and saw said gangs. Knew it was a grim one after seeing the screens.

Going off on a tangent the queue was 14 miles long. The signs telling everyone it was closed must’ve been visible from London or even beyond. I was picking up signs relating to the M5 near Weston Super Mare from Manchester. Yet truck after truck was rolling up to the back end of this monstrous queue.

Maybe their sat navs need traffic updates so they know where to go :open_mouth: :grimacing:

One of our drivers set off to go to Leeds. Signs lit up for miles n miles before hand was on every traffic report m62 shut both directions. Avoid avoid avoid.
He went along ignored all the signs got to back of the que sat there for hours trying to then get off at the last junction before the closure.
