Royal Mail, NDC national distribution centre in crick…They have about 200 doors and at night there’s a lorry on every door and 2 more waiting to get on , very heck tic after dark…
Ower site has 49 doors …
NDC finishes bays at 110, with the rest of them being lanes to park up in. When you arrive, you 'll get allocated a holding bay ticket, but by the time you’ve driven around the building, a yardmarshall will stick you straight onto a dock bay before you’ve had chance to occupy the holding one.
NDC also isn’t in Crick. It’s on the DIRFT site, which only gets called Crick by folk that listen avidly to Stobarts folk calling it that.0
Thanks for clearing that up for me I shall pass that info over to all the drivers when I’m in there later today and remind them not to call it crick for fear of being labelled a spotter …
Actually I wasn’t talking about the size of the RDC I’m sure there are bigger sq footages about but does anyone know which single site O liscence is the biggest 483 trucks PLUS 480 trailers on one site sounds bloody big to me !!!

Biggest RDC has to be Tesco Livingston or Goole! Sainsburys Waltham Point is pretty ■■■■ big and very very busy aswell!Waltham Point was the biggest supermarket RDC in Europe when it was built but no doubt that has been surpassed by now!
The Royal Mail seems to take the title for biggest DC
Suprised the Tossco Weybridge is staying with Reading opening - its a good DC but access is crap due to access routes especially when there is a problem by J10Junction 11 actually…
The only problems with j11 is when reading are playing at home…
Erm. I think he was referring to J10 of the M25 for WEYBRIDGE rather than on the M4 for Reading…
If Reading were playing at home, then Weybridge wouldn’t be affected would it?

Depends on how long the queue to get in the RDC is tbh!
back to the op. currrys dc may be big , but its not that busy is it

I once called it Crick on this forum and got the exact same comment from the exact same member. Funny how someone that lives in Medway thinks he knows more about my home county than I do
Back to the topic, Parcelforce International Hub near Coventry airport has more doors than Royal Mail NDC. Over 150 if I remember correctly in the largest of the two buildings. Don’t know how many more in the smaller one but must be over 200 in total.
Think UPS has the largest parcel hub at Tamworth, 180 bays with O licence for 200 tractors and 150 trailers

True, but it’s broken down into two sites visually does it count as one or two .
not UK
but the Aalsmeer flower market warehouse is 10,600,000 sq. ft.
Parcelforce, near Coventry Airport:
Ford’s in Daventry used to hole the record for the biggest single room RDC in the UK, one mile from end to end in one big room. That was in the 70’s so it must have been surpassed a gazillion times by now.
