Monday night I had loaded in NYC and was sleeping in the street for the afternoon and leaving at 11.00pm for a night drive northward, I had got up and was sitting in the driving seat logging in when I noticed a black car with the windows blacked out and the lights on parked about 100 yards away facing me, it moved slowly towards me, then shot to the end of the lane, in the mirror I watched it turn around and slowly come alongside my cab, I avoided direct eye contact and pretended to be typing, the car sped off. Remembering that I was in fact parked in avery rough area of the Bronx I decided to do a quick walk round to check everything and leave asap. Back in my cab doing a pre trip report and getting ready to leave the car re-appears and drives right up to my drivers door, in my periferal vision I see the rear window going down and I moved into the sleeper to see it shoot to the end and start to turn round once more, I jumped in the driving seat and pulled out in front of it, the dar followed me untill I got into a mains route where there were lots of cars and people, it then did a ‘U’ turn and vanished.
Gangs in NYC as in lots of places have an initiation where the new member has to shoot a random person for no reason other than to prove they can kill at will, I have talked about the incident with the locals and all say it seems I had been selected to be a victim. Happy to be alive and will be more weary in future

Gang Bangers shoot other Gang Bangers, not random truck drivers, they swear allegiance to their ‘colours’ and anyone in rival colours is an instant target, that’s why the old bill leave them to it, saves them the job of locking them up if they’re wiping each other out 
Although it may have been the Cripps, you do drive a truck in Bloods’ colours 
It may also have been an undercover Police Car, hence the lack of onlookers, the locals can spot the law a mile off. The could’ve been checking you out as a tanker has the potential to make a pretty decent sized bomb
Next time this happens, get out a little mat, get down on your knees and face east, I’ll bet you are surrounded by Homeland Security before you get in touch with Allah
Mark, there were 3 drive by’s at the end of the road where I was parked within the last year, even if it were not gang as such, I don’t doubt I was about to be a target for something, maybe a robbery and they will cut your throat for a bit of drug money around there mate … Sure they were not feds, the ones on the back looked about 15 years old. I’m not scared to walk around the area and it was not panicking, It was just very suspicious and all the local who work in the refinery say I am crazy to sleep there anyway.

Just drove up and over the GWB this morning and on through the Bronx, no thanks, wouldn’t be parking there!!!
Upon fueling up at Milford, CT Pilot I did see a Foodliner Cascadia but it wasn’t you Pat, I walked round the front of it to check for a Union Jack sticker. This was one of those crappy looking things with a shorter hood.

Gangbanger has to shoot someone as part of the ‘blooding’ ceremony, so they unload a magazine into a parked truck, lots of noise, lots of bullet holes, the lorry driver equivalent of a fish in a barrel. Pat gets a cap in his ■■■. Job done

Its not a place I like but I was running short on fuel and desperately needed a shower after a day and a half of running around PA and NJ loading LTL.
It sounds like Allenton or Normanton to me.
