Beware doncaster m18

yesterday night at about 7pm my mate was driving southbound on the m18 between junctions 3 and 4.he was on the phone to me at the time, when he said the bridge he was approaching had a few youths on it,2 seconds later i heard the bangs as they pelted his truck with bricks.fortunatley he was ok,some cars on his transporter suffered some serious damage however.he stopped straight away and phoned the police, who said they would send someone out.after waiting for an hour he rang them back to be given a crime number over the phone!.
rest assured my fellow truckers, you can guarantee that the south yorkshire police will hide behind objects to try and catch you speeding, but when it comes to endangering lives, they arent interested at all.what a farce. :frowning:

sounds about right for south yorkshire plonkers er police i mean. glad he wasn’t hurt just shows what the youth off today are willing to do for fun.

Too busy trying to get famous on Police Pratt Action

Excuse me, I’m 14 but I wouldn’t dream of doing anything like that. Not all teenagers are like that.

Ex-trout was a S. Yorks plod before she snared me: In Donny they were apparently fond of malingering outside newsagents to catch those leaving a car with its engine running as they nipped in for a morning paper.
(It was all pea-soupers & starting handles when she was a puppy so plenty of ‘tickets’, tea & medals in those days, eh).

I think most of us know most kids are pretty good most of the time. Like most of us when we were younger you do some pretty stupid things as part of growing up and provided those who are responsible for you make sure you know it was wrong then most get it and grow up.

Sadly there’s group of kids who are out of control, (Why is another massive debate.) and because of them you all get tarred with the same brush, but don’t worry as soon as you a truck driver you’l get tarred with another brush.

If you would like plod to attend you should always request an ambulance. An accident with an ambulance in attendance garantees police presence. You could claim shock.

or the conversation could be.
“you need an ambulance? are you injured?”
“no”
“who is injured?”
“i havn’t decided yet, see ya”.

the youth in donny are some off the worst just look in the news to see that edlington ring any bells. I know new years eve 2005 i had a car nicked i was a milk man and i reported it at 3am told them i’m going to work and not to come till 12 had the baby in bed at that time just walking out the door and the t#### turned up but you report something serious and they are busy supping tea. :smiling_imp:

At least i will be used to being brushed with tar.

I always feel a bit unsettled when driving under a bridge with people stood on it, in case they lob something or jump. If I’m passing directly beneath where they’re stood and it’s quiet and I can do so without inconveniencing others, I change lanes if I can.

I’m on the M18 a lot so I’ll keep a very good lookout for the brick-chucking scum.

just spoke to the lad involved tonight.he says when he tipped the cars friday,5 windscreens were gone, and 4 cars had bodywork damage.
thousands of pounds worth of damage.
south yorks police please take a bow.(after you"ve finished supping your tea and trying to get famous on police camera traffic cop with cameras!).
oh just to add,the imminent danger to life that was posed to every motorist at that time, obviously wasnt important then.

wouldnt it be pointless for the cops to go out anyway because by the time they get there they yobs would be long gone

well my thinking on this is that if the police got their fingers out sharpish instead of hiding behind bushes trying to get joe public doing 2mph over the limit, and did some proper “old school” police work,or even bothered to look at any of the cctv cameras they have covering the entire road network, they may just stand a chance of catching these scrotes who are at best endangering life.
just my view of course.

The Police are the same here called them ones about yobs throwin stones at the house windows they said they would send somone out to have a look round… 45 mins later a car drove past then disappeared, didnt hear anymore from them

I know its not as serious but still what a joke!

I went and had a go at the little bugger my self because the police didnt care. He wasnt more than 12 years old, whats next on his list to do?

So you can add Lancashire police to that list of halfwitts. :unamused:

Note the connection between the suggestion of Doncaster having a lot of mindless teens and lack of Police interest…
