Coming from the north which is the best way to Eastbourne?
M25-Heathrow or M25 Dartford bridge to M23/A23/A27 or Royal Tunbridge Wells and down?
Never had much cause to go down that way so a bit unfamiliar with whats the most direct/quickest

A1…A14…M11…M25…dartford… come off jcn 6 A23…thats the way i went in october, you could go the tunbridge route but not as good, thats just my opinion.
Qe2 bridge, round M25,A21 s to Tunbridge Wells,A26 Uckfield,A22.would be the most direct, dunno about the quickest

EH ?
M23/A23/A27 is quicker and easier than the Tun Wells or East Grinstead route. There are roadworks on the A23 that are pretty slow during the day, but it’s still the best way. Dual carriage way all the way except for the last 5 or so miles whereas Tun Wells route is nearly all single cway and goes through town centres.
Just remembered the A23 will be shut overnight on the 28th (24 hours from now) so if you’re coming at that time you should go via East Grinstead.
M1/M25 Heathrow/M23/A23/A27 is much quicker in both car and especially in truck. Although I live in Beds, until 5 years ago Eastbourne was my hometown. And you have nice new services at M25 J10 - J9 now too!

I assume he means taking a coaster ( small ship ) from Teesport follow E. Coast around into English Channel to Eastbourne
Practise.
Cheers everyone, M23 won in the end, definately seemed the easiest
I wouldn’t have started from Middlesborough in the first place.
