I find it helps to get the aeriel as far away fror the cab as possible, I think the metal affects the signal in some way. I use a couple of co-ax extension leads.
Hi mate, If you can get away with a big house aerial I would suggest you do. No comparison in reception so I’ve read.
I’m gonna get the telecam one and I’ll post an update on here as to how good it is when I’ve tried it. I bought one of them dvd freeview tv thingy’s with a 10.4 inch screen the other day off ebay. I tuned it into my terrestrial aerial and the picture/reception is A1.
Anyone who buys one of these tv’s is best tuning it in on your house aerial first as it will be tuned in spot on. Don’t tune it in on an indoor aerial.
Thats what I have too, and I tuned mine in on the house aerial.
What you need to remember is though the frequecies are different as you move around the country, so you have to retune, but KEEP your old settings, do not overwrite.
Hey Bowserman I was in ASDA living today and saw the SLX with the amp built in for 9.95 (19.99 at Maplin) so I couldn’t resist and bought it. Got home an hour ago and plugged it into my 10.4 inch dvd/freeview switched the amp and gain on and PING! On came my freeview! The picture was crystal clear mate…well chuffed so in my opinion I’d get one of these if an outside aerial is too big…just not from Maplin
ive got one of those they have on caravans + 15" flat screen tv with built in freeview there’s not many place’s i don’t get digi so then i just tune into analogue.
