The m6 is a gamble as you probably know ,I’d go A 50 but one thing to consider ( weight depending ) is m1 to junction 26 and up the A610 to the A6 from the A6 junction of the 5012 in cromford it will take you an hour to macc and with no road works and very few delays this way .edit forgot to add A5012 to A515 and over cat n fiddle .
