Very pretty part of the world, I used to go to Bala then from there along that A4212 to Bleanau Ffestiniog, on a map it looks like you wouldn’t dare venture onto it but it’s probably one of the best roads in the area. Used to stop and cook up a bit of breakfast next to that big reservoir there, very pleasant.In Bala, it’s a lake, called Bala Lake
Incorrect. The lake Harry Monk describes on the A4212 (Bala to Trawsfynydd road) is called Llyn Celyn. Under there somewhere is a village that was buried underwater when the valley was flooded to provide water for the Scousers.
