I did a drop yesterday on Junction 40 on the M6 (Penrith area)
I then had to go to Team Valley Newcastle.
Being only in a 7.5 tonner i took the scenic
route via the A686 only to be stuck in a 30 mph convoy for 2 hrs
Which is the quickest route,
would it to carry on up the M60 and use the A69
or
Use the A66
Not wishing to use the A686 in the wet with a near full load
I would have gone up to Brampton and jumped on the A69 in an artic, although I have used that road from Haltwhistle before.
i was on the m60 other day but i did’nt see any signs for penrith

think he means the m6
for team valley from penrith i’d go a69
Cheers A69 it,ll be next time,
Nice round trip though
from Bolton - Penrith - Newcastle - Bolton

I would go A66 to A1 then up to TVTE
as why go up across A69 on mainly single carriage then down to TVTE
Salaried i,m afraid
I,ll try the A66 one day
then the A69 the other.
But will stay away from the Hartside pass in future
Once bitten , twice shy.
