as other have said 3 seems to be the best for mobile internet, had mine for 3 years now on payg but about £25 on it a month but i do watch alot of iplayer and it very rarely doesn’t work
i use it at home , in my car and in my truck . i have it connected to my lappy and my ipod touch and its fine … HTH
What’s that dongle called ?
Looks different to the one iv got
yes as above its a HUAWEI E586 , ive had it about a year so they maybe changed the design . they are wireless so i usually just leave it on my dashboard until it needs a recharge , they work very well .
P.S im on it now sat in my dining room , using it here is probably the worst place to use it due to the surrounding buildings but i still get quite a good signal …

Cheers for getting back mate will have a nose in to that one
I had a 3 dongle for about three years when I was tramping.
I’m on day work now so I recently cancelled my contract I was gettig 5 gig for £18 per month). I was offered a free ipad 3 with 15 gig downloads for £25 per month (24 month contract). I was tempted but as I’m about to buy a house I need to cut down.
If that interests you and you already have an account it may be worth threatening to cancel it.

Sorry to be a bit off topic but do any of you people use Three for your phone network and if so what is the connection like around the country ?
i dont use 3 i use O2 but thats because nearly everyone i know uses O2 so most calls and texts are free .
i have used 3 in the past but i found it to be crap , but that was a long time ago so maybe different now .
I’m on 3 and can’t fault it to be honest, the only time I can’t get a signal is halfway over woodhead, get more 3G coverage than I ever did on Vodafone

Thats great if you get as much internet as you want to. I was on pay as you go at first, then I found Iplayer, youtube, more4 and all the other stuff and needed more download capacity. This meant that moving to a pay monthly contract suited me as my usage was quite heavy.
I was on containers so had a huge amount of downtime.
In answer to your original question 3 have the best coverage, they very rarely let me down from deepest darkest Cornwall to the North of England and you can get as much as you like whether on contract or Pay as you go.
Tried diffrent providers over the years but 3 Network by far the best I get 15gb allowance and never use full allowance Ive got signal for dongle up in Inverness and Buckie and down in Redruth .
