Mines been doing well for 3 weeks now given me plenty of warning if I’m anywhere near a weight limit or low bridge. It did freeze once but a reset solved that.
Ordered yesterday arrived this morning & after some playing around with all the functions so far i am very impressed with the functionality for such a low price, not only can you enter the parameters of your vehicle you get multiple destination entry’s & also have drivers timer which shows you time left before a brake is required.
So far happy with it lets see how it performs out on the open road.
Regards,
Jeff.

Hiya Jeff
It works well! I’ve only used a couple of times, up to Penrith and Carlisle, had no problems with it at all. If I was going to complain about anything on it, I’d say it’s a bit overly complicated than it needs to be, sometimes I found it bleeping and alerting me to stuff that just wasn’t relevant, but I’m sure I’ll be able to turn them functions off after I’ve found time to mess around with it a bit longer!
For the price, it’s brilliant, it certainly beats paying £250+ for one of the other ones out there!
Chris & Leeandlucy are the same suppliers.
I bought a Sat Nav off Chris and think it’s great, though I’m a ‘map person’ so only use them when I have to, and so far only twice…one thing I did notice though is when I needed to make a left turn it told me to turn as I was actually at the road junction starting to turn in - luckily I only had the nav on as a back up.

Yeah, I knew Leeandlucy was somehow linked to Chris, the listing were identical.
My dad is an old fashioned kind of guy, he won’t use a sat nav at all, always relies on maps on the rare occasions he does get lost!

+1 On value for money.
After using it a bit more over the last few weeks i’m well impressed with it. I’s frozen once but you can just reset it on the back. I’m glad I picked one up now.
I got 1 of the cheap ebay ones and I can’t complain about it.
It hasn’t taken me down any narrow road up and around Aberdeen/Keith yet.
There is also a lot of info on it, down to the name of the petrol station I’m approaching(ESSO/Sheel ect)
Time will tell though.
I got one off truck tables but only had it a week and broke the screen on it, my fault. Am trying to see if can get a replacement screen anywhere but failing. Looking like will have to buy another. When I did use it, it seemed fine no problems. Would recommend even though its going to cost me again. If anyone can direct me to a replacement screen would be greatly appreciated.
It only comes with one month warranty.
i had the snooper db8500 when i was doing ireland/uk work and it worked well.
now have the tomtom 5150 truck and back doing irish tanker work and would not use it much.
i have found the tomtom is not as good for truck routing can bring you in a roundabout ways at times esp. in dublin city. if the tv on the snooper worked in ireland i would go back to the snooper but the tomtom is better size to throw in the work bag.
if you plan on to use a sat nav much i would go with the snooper

I did the same thing, I had it in my bag, I contacted Chris he repairs them for £20 which included the cost of return p&p. I’ve ordered a mini Ipad holder for £5 on Amazon which will hopefully support it better and safer to carry around. Call Chris if it’s not too late.

That’s my only compliant with it too oddly enough. Going to play with the settings and see if I can change that…
Just ordered one from Chris. Hope wont be disappointed. Ill give u guys a feedback later.
I’m thinking about ordering one but it’s only got one month warranty! Shall I go for it?

Let us know if you do fined a way of getting more warning
I’ve been using one I bought of Chris for a couple of months now (doing uk/Europe) also we deliver classic cars so we do end up in a lot of residential areas, we’ll last week I’m delivering on the outskirts of Paris, I approach a roundabout that’s got signs all over it saying 12t limit in village and use ring road, fair enough so round I go and satnav sends me into the village at the next roundabout ( no weight limit signs) so in I go

Yes, you can change the settings. I’ll fire it up later and go through how to do it.

Cheers Mike would appreciate that mate.

I had a car sat nav that has recently packed up. It was a garmin and to be honest not really had any problems with it if you use it as a car sat nav and remember you are in a truck and always look plenty in advance. Anyway like I say this one has given up so Thursday night I ordered one from the website above And received it Saturday morning. I was looking at another car one but decided to try this as it’s cheaper and a trucknav and will see how it goes. I really wanted a snooper but if this does the trick I’ll be happy for now. I will be asking questions and giving you guys feedback on how I find it. So far it looks good though the big screen looks nice and clear. Very happy with the price.
