That`ll give you up to date tolls. Balance between speed and cost, peage vs national, is up to you of course.
Depends if you want to make the journey part of your holiday, you’ll need to skirt Paris obviously can be busy, if you want to get there quickly get an evening ferry and travel overnight. Toll motorways are generally free flowing and stress free and are worth the cost.
What about getting a ferry to Caen is that an option ?
I returned from that area 5 years ago on a motorbike, I turned off the autoroute at Orleans and went via Chartres and Rouen to get to Calais. It missed out the frenetisism of Paris, and the national roads were quite good and fast, it probably only took a tad longer timewise.
Newhaven to Dieppe is not a bad option either for that part of France 3 sailings a day during the summer
This is part of a route I did for some visitors to ours a few years ago. Tolls might have gone up a few cents since.

Yes, Steves route is sound, I lived near Limoges for 7 years and always went that way to miss the hassle of driving round Paris, still got the house and still travel that way.
