I’m hoping someone might be able to help me: my uncle drove for a Belgian company called Van Imp between (roughly) 1991-1996. He has a pension with them, and is now 65: but (not unreasonably) hasn’t a breeze how to go about claiming it. So my question is: Is the company still operating, but under a different name? Any help would be much appreciated!

I used to deliver all over Belgium in 1990’ and that name didn’t “ring any bells” … so … out of curiosity, I Googled it.
I found Mathiuus Van Impe ( note with e ) … Manager of Van Impe Transport in Belgium.
Google “Van Impe Transport in Belgium” … you should get result … Hope this helps
