I moved to the US almost 30 years ago, and have loved being around trucks all my life. I was just recently having a thought of a couple truck companies (haulage) back in my day in Scotland, there was a company owned by Davey Oliphant I think he called it Oliphant and son use to run Scania and always had a beautiful paint job on his trucks,
Another I can recall was an owner driver Billy Quinn if I recall use to run a DAF both out of the Bathgate area or even a little more east just wondering what would have happened to them, this would have been in the early 90’s just when Gordon Leslie was starting to get big I understand is huge now, there was also a company out of Glasgow airport McDonald air freight use to have beautiful trucks too. O boy am starting to go down memory lane with myself. Anyone out there remember these guys. It would be interesting to know what ever happened to them. Thanks in advance to anyone who sheds a light on them.
Love your avatar, the Kenworth butterfly has always commanded respect.
