Bedford Lorries, you used to see them everywhere

Hi all
Here is a Photo of my mate Kevin Wellards Bedford with which he operated out of Perth in Western Australia to the north west in the 70s, DD 6V53 power 10speed fuller and a big Eaton 2speed diff, the trailer was the 2nd Frauhoff tri axle delivered in WA.

Aye the old OBL Model, There was a lot of them used where I lived in the 30/40s, My late great uncles ran them on open cast coal work they were a good old work horse in their heyday IMO, Regards Larry.

A few here which belonged to local haulier James Bacon of Blackley Manchester.I have posted these before on the Sherrans and other Manchester firms thread.

A couple of west London-based Bedfords which ran regularly to the continent back in the 70s/80s:

Not a fan of Bedfords personally . . . thought topping up the engine oil half way through the day was a little excessive :unamused:

I wonder what engines these Bedfords had in ?, The Bedfords own 300/330s 466/500s were a bit underpowered IMO, Regards Larry.

This Bedford in Cairo looked as though it was used for spraying lamposts silver, the lorry and the crew were pretty much silver as well.
