NEWS! The Snowflake generation finally runs into the first real snowflakes - in a generation.
Still, on a more serious note: People are getting killed out there.
Four fatalities mentioned in this article already.
Drive carefully folks, especially in your own cars.
JAKEY:
SNOW ,COLD ,WINDS on the radio and I saw a driver in a wagon with a vest on !!! ,night heater has been blairing every time I stop .
I saw a bloke polishing his tank,at half past nine on Monday night…wearing a ■■■■■■■ tee shirt.

This was the A120 today near Colchester. I’ve pinched it from Faceache if any techie could possibly make it visible for others that’d be great.
Think he’s deleted it’s afer realising that driving for over a minute whilst filming an accident of the other side of the carriageway may just land him in a spot of bother with the law
I’ve done Livingston to Preston this morning, it was lovely at 0300 when I started, no cars and few wagons and only the occasional Gist or parcel firm bombing it.
One tailgated me until he could squeeze past, then a couple of minutes later I reached the roundabout to find him beached with his offside steer wheel over the roundabout kerb where he’d not quite managed to stop/turn. No damage, but he couldn’t pull himself free. That was a tasty slice of schadenfreude pie.
Someone else passed me at the bottom of the M74, going full chat through the fresh snow. A few mins later there were an artics trye tracks snaking from the hardshoulder to lane 3ish and back and a few mins later I caught him up. No crash but prob a change of underwear required
There does seem to be a lot of rushing around going on, and a never ending stream of cars taking away my stopping distance
Might have trouble cycling home today…
Sitting at Stirling Services on break.
My day has been entirely uneventful. Upto East kilbride to start. Edinburgh then Kirkaldy. Alloa for a return and another on way past ■■■■■■■■■■■ shortly. Getting heavy snow now. 3pm its due to get worse . I’ll be home by then hopefully.
Had a load of time to kill yesterday so I thought I’d spruce up the motor a tad, ended up doing the whole inside including windows and did the outside by hand with a sponge. Then today happened! Bloody waste of time, would’ve been better catching zzzz’s on my bunk.
Glad the weather is pish parked up at penrith told dont go anywere.Start at 6am but dont leave until you get the ok from the office happy days paid 10 hours for 7 hour work.So the beer will be consumed at jenkys truckstop.
Finally got some weight on ,been out with loaded trailer and empty lorry ,also the lift bag burst last night ! Not been good at moving off
Almost spoke too soon. M80 and the north of M73 was brutal. Cars off the road all over place. Traffic stuck heading north after the recovery of a jacknife. Stationery traffic on a hill is not clever. Asda wagon was close to going sideways. Wee Toyota Gt86 sports car spun out in front of me but she caught it just in time.
Now home on the sofa. This mornings two inch snow on my drive is looking nearer six inch already.
I’m down near Dorchester and there ain’t a snowflake in sight [emoji3]

Not 5 minutes earlier while I was tipping it was complete white out and as you can see I was very exposed.

Spoke to the guy who rents my house in Norwich today as its due to have some new windows and two doors fitted this week (dont think thats going to happen) he couldnt move his car out the drive, your pics say it all. The missus is at Pau at the moment, no snow but raining heavy…
The A19 around the Seaham area was pretty dicey at 0430 this morning. Complete whiteout conditions, couldn’t see the road markings and snow drifts across the road.
Apart from that and a big blizzard around Northampton around lunchtime it hasnt been too bad for me. Still the worst conditions I have driven in for years though.

It’s heading her way Andrew ! Hope sh’s not going to Montpellier !
I’ll post the MeteoFrance weather map again in case you didn’t see it earlier
I have a sprinter pick up on route to the forth rd bridge carrying a plough for them tonight ,Anyone know if he’s best coming back down the A1 which is where he is at the min or try over by biggar to the 74 back to Ashbourne Derbys ? Any info about either route much appreciated
Wouldn’t attempt crossing via Biggar. Not the best route in bad weather. Would have thought straight south would be better. Saying that ive not seen whats going on in the east just now.
All this cold weather and today the truck decides to overheat. Pic was taken after it had cooled while tipping.
