got the info from an EZY Captain personally, and he volunteered the info, after asking how much we, as fuellers earned. FR training capt £100k, Base Captain £150K… Again, it was 3 years ago.
FR used to have a retired BA 747 training Capt flying for them, due to BA and a few other airlines retirement age being 55. So he went to FR as a contractor for 10 years, and what he didn’t know wasn’t worth knowing. BUT make an error, however small and he would rip you a new aresole. I’ve seen dispatches in tears because they got their figures wrong, and he ripped into them, not because he was a knob, but he was trying to make them understand the importance of getting the important things right, and some of them needed it, and god help any F.O he flew with if he didn’t think they were good enough or properly trained. There was only one he kicked off about. Ask him anything about flying or aircraft and he was the most knowledgeable and interesting bloke you could talk to.
There is a retired airline captain who now works for CP plus car parking attendant on the M5 at Strensham Msa.He has a white beard and glasses and is very interesting to talk to if you have the time.He works on the north and southbound. And flew for BA.

I do, and I’ve got a Boeing 767 to build which is going into Air Canada coloursSounds like fun, I’ve never tried it, you must have a steady hand…lol The 767 is one of my favourite & I have actually flown Air Canada several times.
