BBC Once upon a time in N.Ireland

Just finished watching this 6 part documentary on BBC I player.

Explains the origins of the ‘Troubles’ in 1969,.l from when the Army moved in and welcomed, , the locals making soldiers cups of tea, soon after they were attacking and killing them.

Covers Bloody Sunday, the H block prisoners on hunger strike,.with interviews with ex IRA and Loyalist members, victim’s relatives, including Patrick Kielty who’s Dad was murdered., right through to the 2 soldiers caught up in an IRA funeral who were lynched and murdered,.right through to the Peace Process…

By coincidence the last item on tonight’s news was a young Catholic mother and her child being harassed and hounded out of her home in a Protestant area, by a group of thugs. :unamused:
So it is still going on today in part.

I will watch that.I have relatives there,been there many times,scary place.
