Have a look at page 12 of the Scrapbook Memories thread, there is a bit about the F86 conversions that Hartshornes made to the ex Bass units and a pic of one from the same XUT batch as yours.

SORRY 1VOLVO1 FOR TAKING SO LONG TO REPLY .
WE HAD F16 FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS.WE PART EXCHANGED IT TO A VOLVO DEALER FOR TWO FL10 6X2 TRACTORS.WHICH PROBABLY USED
THE SAME AMOUNT OF FUEL AS 1 F16.

Hi Gary,

Saw some pics of a yellow “Spanish” Dodge tipper that you posted on another thread a while back.

Do you have any more of that or any other tippers from around the same time?

Also, I seem to remember that one of your 4 wheel F86s went to a Tarmac owner driver who I think used to park up with you at Truckfest years ago.
Do you have any pics of it in Tarmac colours by any lucky chance?

And,finally, do you know what happened to Hawcutts of Wolvey they used to run a few tippers around the area in the late 80s early 90s.

HI MARK.YELLOE SPANISH DODGE BELONGED TO PAUL THOMAS WHICH LATER BECAME BINLEY AGGREGATES,HAVE GOT SOME PICS SOMEWHERE WILL HAVE TO LOOK THEM OUT
F86 IN TARMAC COLOURS BELONGED TO A CHAP FROM BEDWORTH CALLED ALAN BUTLER ALSO GOT PICS OF THAT SOMEWHERE.
HAWCUTTS HAVE BEEN PACKED UP FOR A WHILE NOW,BUT JOHN HAWCUTT STILL AROUND & GOOD FREIND OF OURS.WILL GET MY BROTHER TO PUT PICS OF HAWCUTTS ON,THINK HE HAS PLENTY.
