Barcelona

So, once parked up in secure parking and with a few days to spare, where are some good places to eat, drink and see in Barcelona?

Ghost

I used to park for free inside the port by the Petromiralles fuel garage on Carrera del port de Haifa, there is a cafe there and is safe to park.
To enter the port, there are no controls by the police, just drive in, the city center is about 45 minutes walk or get a taxi or bus, the Ramblas is the main street with the street performers on and is the tourist area, be careful of pick pockets .
From Barcelona, you can visit Madrid ,Malaga, or other big cities on their very high speed trains, a day trip is possible.
Or hop on the red double decker tourist buses that have cover the tourist sites of the city, with an English audio guide head phone system.
A train or bus to Alicante or Valencia if you have time.
The beach in Barcelona is 4 miles long, try the tapas and the late night dining as the Spanish like to eat their evening meals at from 10 or 11 pm at night.

Option one, Renfe high speed train to Salou south of Barcelona, its about 60 miles away to spend all day at Port Aventura theme park with all the roller coasters rides and theme parks, Renfe have an offer for 45 Euros to include the train tickets and entrance fee.
Or hire a car there or drive the tractor unit.
Option two is Mini Hollywood theme park at Tabernernas near Almeria in Andulicia, they have made lots of films here, and the shoot out stunt show is impressive.
There is a zoo there, pools with slides, and other attractions plus live music and dancing shows, high speed train to Almeria.

Why catch a train to these places when there’s all of Barcelona to see, Las Ramblas as already stated, a trip of the Nou Camp, an open top bus tour from the square at the top of Las Ramblas. Then there’s the cable car…

I never parked at the port. Just park near the Olympic park, and walk to anywhere in the centre. Just 10 mins to everything.

Pretty much agree, las Ramblas is a very different place at night, good fun day or night though, loads of restaurants, bars and high and low culture in Barcelona. Last time I went in the open top tourist busses you got an open ticket for a route and could jump off and explore an attraction and then jump on another and continue The journey.

Isn’t there a museum of ■■■■ in las Ramblas? :open_mouth:

there was the last time I parked there…the correct name for it though is called…my cab…
