Bank Holidays And Increased Pay Rates?

Paid 8 hours for the day off but public holidays are paid at time plus 2/3 whereas bank holidays are paid at normal rate .

On agency tomorrow £10 an hour for 8 hours but will only do 6 hours or less. Still [zb] though.

Thats a poor rate for working a B/hol for an agency, considering the typical agy rate is £9 basic, I`d expect to receive double time at a minimum making it £18 p/hr

As for everyone else receiving enhanced pay rates

I don’t get any extra for working bank holidays, just a day back in return.

I’d prefer to work that way. Then you can use and take holidays for suit yourself.

Very very poor I know, but luckily it was only Guildford to St Albans, tipped in 10 mins and was home in bed by half 9. started at 7 so not to bad I suppose.

I find it works out well that way , as I can , like you say use the holiday day to suit accordingly  although we don’t get any extra pay on the ‘bank holiday’ days!
