Well he means Block & Quayle.
And I think DHL have most, if not all, of the B&Q distribution contract.
.
.
Well Dhl have most of the depots except the flowers and Wincanton do all our planning hence we run around the country empty most of the week!
Dalsey,HIllblom and Lynn do most of the traction for Block and Quayle don’t they?
sigh !!
I tipped in B&Q\DHL, Radlett, last Friday, very nice experience it was too, I was an hour early & drove out of the gate 1 minute before my booking time.
& they let you sit in your cab !
& there we a Nice Looking Lady Shunter to ‘Ogle’ at, whilst I was getting unloaded !
Bit different to delivering to the stores where some ‘jobsworth’ makes you wait 2 hours to tip one radiator & a box of batteries ! LOL !

If you turn up more than 30mins before of after your book in time at Cambuslang, then the supplier gets a fine. Heard a rumour that’s its £500.

WOW ! That would bring tears to your eyes !
Now there’s an idea !
Perhaps suppliers should pay us £250 bonus to get it there on time ? That way it would save 'em £250 & We’d soon be in one of the highest paid professions in the country !
I vote for the ‘Get it there on time Revolution’

I used to go to B&Q in Swindon, hated that place, could be there half hour but could also be there 4 or 5 hours. B&Q in Worksop was totally different, best tip I’ve ever come across and a friendly bunch you could have a laugh with, used to tip 3 loads a day into Worksop and they’d always have you out ASAP. B&Q Redhouse ain’t too bad, but nowhere near as good as Worksop.
@Selbynewcomer you know deep down thst tesco is nowhere near as good lol.
Hard to get a job at BQ so I hear, even in the stores, they opened a store near my place a few years ago & apparently thousands applied for various roles…

I only ever spoke to B&Q drivers who run out of Swindon and some of them said they are pushed a bit, but some said if you get on with the job then you’re left alone. As for them being better than Tesco, maybe they are, I don’t know. I’m happy at Tesco so that’s all that matters to me.
If you’re ever in tesco Reading DC PM me, I’d love to say hello to ya, you crack me up with your tesco rants
I mean BQ is a better place to tip than tesco due their ‘in cab policy’ so I hear:)
I try my best to stay away from anything to do with tesco but it’s pretty difficult as you can imagine so don’t hold your breath…
selby newcomer hows tesco pay and conditions panned out as i didnt bother starting.

I’ve only ever delivered to Goole Tesco DC and that was a good tip and I haven’t heard any horror stories about Reading, but I’d rather take the stuff out than be bringing it in.
