I only know, as , on a trip from Lisbon to Sicily for JD in the mid 90’s , my daughter counted them
She was 9 or 10 back then and will be 30 this year.
If I remember correctly , most of the Autovia down to Reggio was toll free?

I went through those Ventimilia-Menton tunnels once, coming back from Saudi. It was night time, so instead of it being bridge, tunnel, bridge, tunnel etc going light, dark, light, dark… it was: dark, light, dark, light… All frack to bunt, if you ask me! Robert

Hi there,Yes you are right Baildrick from Salerno down to Reggio was toll free as the normal road was terrible,i had to use it once between junctions as all traffic was diverted due to an accident, i used that road many times in the seventy & eighties going to Malta with ships stores,all memories now Take Care Melv .
