Yorkie Bars are NOT for girlies! I know that because it said so on the side of this trailer I pulled for EH Nicholls when I drove for them (see below)! Robert

Thanks Dibbs I bet the candle really helped probably to much draught to keep it alight anyway. This one shows the diversity of the job 45 gallon drums of colas on one trailer parked beside the fridge trailer. These photos were given to me by Kevin Arlidge who I think owned the car.

It wasn’t always plain sailing, the occasional hic up ,not too much of a problem.

This chap I showed before but he was in the 89 then which he much preferred to the Leyland ,who can blame him. What do you think Sam?.I think we may have been on our way to Italy.

This is a young Dave Brown with the F89 when it first joined the Cherbourg side of Axminster Transport.

I cant imagine you doing that now Cliffy,I would wait for the tyre man and I am sure you would too, but back then we thought nothing of it did we.

Always a lot quicker to get on and do it yourself Geoff not to mention the cost.If someone came out to you they would always want to put a new tyre on even if it was only a puncture.

Doing a little bit for the local community Bridport carnival about 1978.

Thanks deckboypeggy now you mention it we did load cabbage in that area as well usually back to Bridgewater for Cossey. Must waiting to load here doing a bit of self catering.

Stopped of here today you don’t see off licences like this in England, it’s like dying and going to heaven pallets of Ricard and Whisky you’ve all been there to get your booze on the way home.

Well done Dibbs, you don’t sound like the sort of chap that would stand at the bottom of a loft ladder looking up your wife’s skirt,I’m sure you’d be up the ladder.

I think this is one of the village’s on the way down the Italian side of Mont Blanc.

Following on from Cliffs photo, here,s another which is probably reconisable to most…
