Wonder if the workers feel the RUG has been pulled from under them …Bet I am on the CARPET for that one …
Well Rog, they wont be making a PILE anymore . I’m not far from their premises and often see their trucks go past my house, but not in recent weeks
.
I know a bloke thats worked for them for years, not doubt I’ll find out whats going on. I could go and have a YARN with him. Probably best not to crack any jokes though, he’s bigger than me and probably heard that one a few hundred times
Tiger.
Sorry to hear another great British company in trouble ,
esp such a well turned out fleet
they have been trying for ages to get planning for 400 homes and industrial units on some of their land, it got bogged down in the courts come the end with enquiries ect, that probably didn’t help when i expect they were hoping to use some money raised by the development to inject back into the business while times were tight, we are running out of businesses in axminster slowly, the main one now is axminster tools who have seemed to of gone from strength to strength, sad day for the guys and girls if the administrator can’t work a solution out
Some good news.

Yeah that’s really funny Rog in an area where there’s not a lot of jobs about

Bad taste and then some, coming from the glassback it’s very ironic.
Does anyone ever remember the times before Health and Stupidity took hold in this country…the times when the British had stiff upper lips and were famous for the ability to laugh at ourselves in times of adversity? Have we now lost our sense of humour and resorted to personal insults over the slightest things? FFS I’m sure Rog didn’t mean anything nasty by his post
