Quicky question, learned ones…
Is the average max 48 hr week ever enforced? If so is it a company offence for going over or a driver offence or both?
I’m a PAYE employee, our reference period is 26 weeks. It’s up in a couple of weeks and I’m on about 48 hrs 40 min. So I’m thinking my firm need to lose me 11-12 hours working time (below 48) over the next coupla weeks.
I don’t really give a hoot about working long hours as long as fair pay is involved, but that’s another issue. My question is out of curiosity more than anything.
Cheers, DB
