Well you lot over in North America can now breathe a huge sigh of relief…!!!
I was thinking of joining you over there next year but it’s now looking increasingly likely that my next adventure will be in Australia. Been offered a job with a haulage company in Perth and going under a 417 working holiday visa as I’m just inside the maximum age limit… If I don’t take this opportunity I doubt I’ll ever get another one as it’s not possible to obtain a visa on driving skills alone. Whether or not they’ll let me loose in a Road Train on mental health grounds is another matter but I’m game for anything…
I don’t intend on going over for a while yet so in the mean-time I’m having a go at doing a few videos here in the UK to keep myself occupied and yourselves entertained. I tried it with the I-phone but the quality wasn’t great for some reason so I’m getting a camera for Xmas…
If I had a brain I suppose I could be dangerous…!!!
Anyway, catch y’all later…
and relax … Good for you nutter , you’ll have a great time and at least they drive on the correct side eh Make sure you wind them up re RWC 2015 ,won’t be the first time they’ve lost to us .If if doesn’t work let me know and we’ll get you sorted out here again . Best of my friend .
flat to the mat:

If all goes according to plan you’ll have to take my ticket for the Grey Cup in Regina then!!
Btw, do you know wtf happened at Twickenham?? Stuck one up the All Blacks that’s what!! I know from experience they’ll have a sore arse and a face like Christmas when they land at Auckland International!!
mickfly:
Good luck mate.
BTW: What is the max age limit?
Thanks… The maximum age is 30 years old… Can still apply up untill your 31st birthday though…
LOL you reckon I’ll pay $300 bucks to watch football outside in November when I can see it sat by my fireplace for free or in the pub, nah not even if the Riders get there
Epic last weekend ,but so glad they weren’t drawn in our pool , planning on being there just depends on the rip off match tickets
Here’s to your upcoming vids , your trip , and 2015
Hi i work for my self as a truck mechanic in Perth my friend has a driving school in Maddington.Basicly to get your MC multi combination roadtrain licence you take theoretical test to get yer provisional licence take some lessons and take yer test.If you take yer test in european truck with a syncro gear box thats all you can drive but if you take a test in a truck with a Roadranger 18speed you can drive anything .Send me an email when you get here i know alot of people who are looking for drivers. If you work for a recovery company i can also put you intouch with them as well.My email is mickpredeth@hotmail.com. Cheers Mick.
Ok thanks for that. I’m deciding on my departure date in the next few days. I was planning on heading out in May but things have now changed and I’m considering coming sooner. Keen brothers and Makene driving school gave me some prices etc. for the MC assessment but I guess it pays to shop around. If you’ve got any info. on Goldstar transport from Kewdale I’d appreciate it.

Gonna give it a go Mick , you could be a proper driver without making excuses and bailing out whenever the weather gets crappy
Too old unfortunately, it would have been nice to add another continent.
Strange you should say I bailed out, someone on facebook told a mate I left because I hated the job, then he told me I wasn’t man enough to do it!
I liked the winters and even did two of them by choice, unlike the very many on here who haven’t even been.

December2008 to May 2009, and October 2012 to October 2013 includes 2 winters I reckon, but the first time, with H&R I hardly ever got out the truck so never got cold even at -54 with wind chill in Moose jaw won’t count.
Speak to anyone who actually knows me and you will find that the ONLY problem I ever had with trucking in Canada is lack of miles, and that was only at H&R.
Enjoy the minus 44, glad I’m not trying to crack tarps open in that
